
Ameron International Corporation announced the appointment of Richard I. Mueller as Group President of the Water Transmission Group effective January 19, 2009. In his new position, Mueller will report to Gary Wagner, Ameron’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Mueller had been Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services for the Group.
Mueller joined Ameron in 2002 and has held several key operational and technical positions. Prior to joining Ameron, Mueller was Vice President of Engineering and Marketing for Gifford-Hill-American, Inc., a subsidiary of Hanson, PLC. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and earned a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University.

Marlen, Ameron’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Richard Mueller has demonstrated an extensive knowledge of water pipe systems technology and has utilized a creative approach to problem solving. I am confident that Richard will provide strong leadership and will be a catalyst for the growth of Ameron’s Water Transmission Group.”
