“Earth, Love” jewelry line sold by Wal-Mart Stores Inc

Newmont Mining Corp, a global gold miner said that the company will sell its gold from Nevada mines to provide supply so called “Earth, Love” jewelry. They are sold in The Wal-Mart stores. the largest jewelry retailer in the world. Newmont itself is based in Denver. in doing the project it has a partnership. The partnership also includes Conservation International and London-based international metal miner Rio Tinto Plc (NYSE: RTP), which also will provide gold and silver to the new line.

The products won’t be sold in regular market place. This Particular kinds of jewelries are going to be exclusively sold at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, and offer the retailer’s first completely traceable mine-to-market retail jewelry collection.

The stores are selected based on the company’s environmental and social performance. In 2007, Newmont became the first and only gold company listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index-World.
